The Shirt Off My Back

Thomas’s mission: to make sure that a person will never go without basic human needs and to restore dignity even in the darkest days.

Thomas Volturo is a staple in the downtown Fort Lauderdale communities where the underserved populations look forward to “shopping” in the back of his truck for clothing items and toiletries to gain a sense of autonomy and dignity in some of their toughest times. With his oversupply, he has also been able to link these resources to other not-for-profit organizations, such as LifeNet, who provide such resources to underserved communities. Hospitals have called on his efforts to clothe and shod discharging patients and to restore dignity to those who have fallen on hard times.

As the needs of our community grows, we need to ask for your help. In order for Thomas to continue his valiant efforts, he must meet the financial challenges that are set before him, including gas for transportation, storage fees for housing goods, and keeping up the website. We now have the opportunity to nurture our community by assisting with Thomas’s efforts As a 501c3, any and all donations are tax deductible.

Support Thomas’s mission today.
